Our Love Story

Ours is a story that started with a little Facebook stalking, a hopeless romantic, and, most importantly, God quietly orchestrating every detail along the way.

David’s sister happened to mention that John Leach had a daughter and suggested he Facebook stalk her. So, naturally, he did. After a little scrolling, David decided he could see himself marrying a girl like that — quite the conclusion to reach before even meeting her!

With Sarah’s dad’s blessing, we started getting to know each other through messages. Before long, texting across the Atlantic wasn’t enough, and David flew from America to South Africa for our first date and first African experience!

A few days together turned into the beginning of something neither of us could have planned. Two months later, Sarah travelled to America, where she met David's family and began exploring his world. Somewhere between South Africa and America, adventures, laughter and countless conversations, we fell in love.

Looking back, we can see God’s hand in every seemingly small coincidence that brought us together. What felt like a series of little moments was really part of a much bigger plan.

David eventually asked Sarah’s dad for her hand in marriage, and in July, he returned to South Africa with a ring and a question.

Sarah said yes. 💍

We are so grateful for a love story that God wrote long before we knew it was beginning and even more grateful that He chose to write it with us together. ❤️
